The dangers of plastic waste being dumped into our oceans has become a global talking point and governments have been looking at ways to reduce their dependency on plastics for many decades.

In the future companies who package their goods into non-recyclable plastics could be faced with possible penalties or be forced to find alternative means of packaging.

At SPS Pukekohe we work with packaging suppliers who supply recyclable packaging materials, and we have reduced our dependency on plastic buckets by 90%.

We now use recyclable polypropylene bags and recyclable foils to pack our seed varieties.
