CONTENDER is a long time market standard that is still grown widely today due to its reliability and versatility. A stringless bean that is excellent cooked or eaten raw from the field, CONTENDER sets numerous pods ensuring good yields. With good tolerance to heat and also to mildew, CONTENDER can be grown right throughout the Spring, Summer and Autumn.

Early to mature, regular sowing of CONTENDER will ensure a continuous harvest throughout the season. For an older variety the pod quality is still comparable to that of the newer hybrids.
