MORPHEUS

MORPHEUS is a dark green, mid-vigour spinach suitable for babyleaf production from late Spring through Summer and on until late Autumn. MORPHEUS is extremely high yielding and produces high numbers of thick, savoyed leaves which process well making it an ideal variety for producers of salad packs. Leaves are oval in shape with a very slight point resulting in a tolerance to tip-splitting in windy conditions. MORPHEUS has a very wide window and, in more northern regions, may even be suitable for early Winter harvest. As with many savoyed types, MORPHEUS will become even more curled as the conditions cool, thus increasing the yield. MORPHEUS has a strong disease package and shows good field tolerance to Colleotrichum in Autumn.
