PHOENIX

PHOENIX is a mid-green coloured multileaf lettuce ideally suited to markets where high leaf count and head weight is a requirement. PHOENIX develops a more crisp leaf than many current multileaf varieties and is in the ‘Frillice’ style which provides for a crisp bite when included in pillow packs or salad mixes. PHOENIX has narrow stem attachments and these stems are free from small teeth, common in many varieties, thus making it less susceptible to browning. PHOENIX is ideal for use in salad mixes due to its high leaf numbers and bulk but is also suitable for use as a whole head (sleeving). PHOENIX does not have oversized outer leaves that require removal, resulting in very little wastage.
